Secret 5: Fun

May 3, 2018

Lasting relationships don’t just happen overnight. This is true in your personal life, but especially in business. It takes time to develop trust, rapport, and that goes hand in hand with consistent work. We’ve picked up a few tips along the journey and are always happy to share our success and even some of our failures.

Secret 5: Fun

We’ve all heard the old Proverb “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.” We like to work hard, but we also like to play hard! Taking time to have fun together outside of work allows you to get to know people intimately.  There is a different side to everyone when they step out of the office. In a relaxed, casual environment, you get to have some great conversations and laughs!

If you’re struggling with ideas, here’s a few things that we’ve done that has been fun and memorable! We’ve played a few rounds at Top Golf, had a Paintball war, gone to the gun range to shoot a few rounds, had picnics and a tailgating party, participated in community walks, gone to NBA games, and sometimes on road trips we like to have a little carpool karaoke!

Be willing to step out of your comfort zone and meet up with people at community events, art shows, concerts, or even to grab a cup of coffee. It’s okay to get personal and talk one on one with people. Dig deep and be willing to share your own experiences, ideas, and just enjoy learning more about each other’s story! Getting personal and having fun is the winning combination and the last of our secret series to build lasting relationships!

We hope you enjoyed this series and look forward to sharing a lot more of our insights on  business and relationships!
