How do I change the user code on my lock? 

I would be happy to provide you with the users manual for this lock, which gives you thorough instructions for changing the codes on this lock. If you are unable to do this, we would be happy to send a technician to change this code for you and/or offer onsite instruction.

I don’t have a master code for this lock. What is the master code or how do I reset the master code?

We would be glad to assist you with this issue. In order to do that, we will need to send a technician out to reset this lock to its factory settings.

I need  changed in Brivo. (Door needs to be opened/locked, holiday adjustment, leaving early, etc.)

Do you guys install security systems?

How much does it cost to:

Rekey a lock? The cost of a rekey can vary depending on several factors like the type of lock, the type of key, whether or not you have the key for the lock, and the type of key system(master key, for example). Our trip charge is $79, the standard rekey rate is $15 per cylinder, and standard keys cost between $4-$6 a piece. Again the cost can increase based on the type and condition of the locks we will be rekeying. 

Replace a lock? There are too many factors and variants in lock replacements to provide an accurate cost. In order to give an accurate estimate, we would be glad to send a technician out to do an assessment and provide multiple options that fit your security preferences and your budget. 

Access Control? There are multiple options for access control that range in both cost and function. These options range from our lower cost electronic keypad locks all the way up to a full keycard system that has online and mobile control capabilitiesIn order to give an accurate estimate, we would be glad to send a technician out to do an assessment and provide multiple options that fit your security preferences and your budget.

What kind of materials and parts do you provide with your services?

We order parts from many different brands and specifications to fit our customer’s varying needs and budgets. As a Medeco Security Center, we provide a wide range of high quality, high security products from Medeco and their parent company, ASSA ABLOY. 

Do you keep everything in stock?

While we strive to keep an adequate stock of various items both in our warehouses and in our service vehicles, there are times when we will have to order materials for a job. As a Medeco Security Center, we keep a vast array of Medeco products on hand.  

How long does it take to order materials for a job? 

We work hard to get our materials from a quality source and in a timely manner. Depending on the sources available, and the availability of the part, materials can take anywhere from 1 day to 4 weeks after being ordered. If we do have to order parts, our team will be in communication with you about the expected lead time. 

What is the Rapid Response Vehicle?

Often we have a part in stock at the warehouse that is not in a service vehicle. When such a part is needed, our Rapid Response Vehicle is able to quickly get the part to our technician so that we can improve our response time and job completion. We also use the Rapid Response Vehicle to get small parts and keys to our customers. If you would like Rapid Response service for your service request involving keys or ordered parts, please call us to check availability. 

Do you provide 24/7 locksmith services?

We do have a technician available 24/7. Outside of business hours,(M-F, 8:30-4:30), there is a $50 surcharge to the trip fee, which will make it $130. You can call our main office(704-554-6121) and you will be forwarded to the on call technician.
